Welcome to the Senior Girls' School
It is with great sadness that we heard of the death of Mrs Nikki Oakes, who worked as a Home Economics and Art technician at the Senior Girls’ School. Nikki died, aged 47, on Thursday 23rd October 2008 following a long illness. Old girl, Nikki [nee Tattersall] had been working as a technician for approximately 2 years, and her friendly disposition will be sorely missed by the departments she worked for and by everyone at the Schools. Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.

MTGS FACELIFT
It seems the years take their toll on us all and, as you may have noticed, the school is currently having a bit of 'nip and tuck'. Most of the building work is scheduled to be finished by December. The vibrant, new, glass-fronted entrance is to be named The Vitreum and will solve some of our health and safety issues. This work is unlikely to cause any disruption and we are sure you will appreciate all the efforts once the front of the school has gained a bit of sparkle and developed a real presence on Liverpool Road.
During the Autumn Term, the entrance to the School and Reception will be in the Atrium.
